Airbus India through its CSR intiatives delivers this purpose every day by taking collective action to ensure a positive impact on the planet, vulnerable communities and the next generation.

Community outreach programme

Airbus supports corporate social responsibility activities that have a positive effect on the lives of local communities. Airbus supports:

Promote environmental sustainability

Airbus aims to promote environmental sustainability, ecological balance & protection of Flora & Fauna. With this objection Airbus partnered with Say Earth, a Non-Profit Organisation working for environment conservation activities of tree plantation and pond restoration across India to revive the ponds at Navada Fatehpur in Manesar, Haryana and Kalkere, Bengaluru. These water bodies were in a bad shape and no more than a fetid swamp with mounds of plastic and effluents from the nearby settlements. The local population kept its distance from the area. With Airbus and Say Earth rejuvenation efforts, today the water table has increased and the pond’s surroundings are flourishing with greenery. The groundwater has been recharged and biodiversity restored .All this has been possible because of the efforts and contribution of Airbus India volunteers who have infused life into this area with the support of Say Earth, an NGO, founded by Environmentalist, lake and water conservationist, Mr. Ramveer Tanwar aka ‘Pondman’ and in guidance of the local municipal authorities.

Support education

Airbus supports education for the underprivileged in more than one way. Airbus is associated with Christel House India- a not for profit organisation running free schools for underserved sections of the society providing high quality education having an established track record in undertaking similar programs or projects. The intent under this objective is to help children break the cycle of poverty, realize their hopes and dreams and become self-sufficient, contributing members of society. The support includes scholarship for university education, development of job search, skills for those entering the workforce and networking opportunities for graduates looking to improve employment. Under this initiative Airbus enabled 41 students by providing them scholarships to pursue engineering degrees from a recognised university.

Airbus also works with the SMile Foundation on a YouTech Mentorship Program with an aim to motivate the students from the underprivileged sections of the society towards stimulating their interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The programme caters to the government school children in the region of Gurgaon and Bengaluru. The Target Beneficiary are students from class 8th, 9th and 10th Standard of two Government Schools.

Fight against hunger and malnutrition and promote health

Airbus fights hunger, malnutrition and health care needs with its initiatives with Swanthana Trust & Smile Foundation.

Swanthana Trust  is a  Non-Profit Organisation, located in Bangalore doing welfare by providing accommodation and protection to support children with special needs. Airbus supports this cause by supplying monthly groceries & health care needs for up to 50 children.

Approximately 64,000 beneficiaries are covered through mobile health clinics out of which 70% are women and children and 900 are covered in three special health camps.

Contribute to Youth development

Airbus collaborated with Tata STRIVE to play a leading role in contributing to the larger objective of the country’s mission to address skill development challenges. The objective of this program is to develop skilled manpower for the IT/ITES and hospitality sectors, with a focus on entry-level job positions, focus on courses for job roles that have a national and global demand and Improving the employability of youth by focusing on both cognitive and non-cognitive concepts, hence providing them with a career path. Out of 75 youths minimum of 70% of the youths to be placed. With an active employment of Airbus , Airbus employees volunteered their time with the students of the program and conducted SME sessions with learners on a virtual platform, interacted with them on topics that are helpful for their careers, and guided them on their concerns and career goals.
